Twelfth Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects: Call for Papers
On 4 and 5 May 2023, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will be hosting the Twelfth Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects, the 2023 edition of its annual gathering spotlighting issues surrounding the digitisation of cultural and scientific heritage, digital resources management systems, digital products and services and presenting the most recent digitisation projects in the heritage sector.
D-fest 2023 will once again bring together professionals dealing with the management of digital heritage and the development of digital products and services available as part of digital libraries, archives, museums and other digital heritage systems. Apart from presenting the latest developments in e-Culture, currently the largest national digitisation project in Croatia, the programme of this year’s D-fest will also focus on other relevant issues in the field of the digitisation of cultural heritage, ranging from the use of heritage in digital storytelling and attempts at widening the audience for digital heritage to encouraging the participation of the wider public in the digitisation of heritage through joining and supporting various citizen science-oriented initiatives. Featured as the programme’s particularly forward-looking topic is the use of artificial intelligence in cultural heritage management.
