The National and University Library in Zagreb to be one of the seats of Croatia’s presidency of the Council of EU in 2020

At its session held on 5 July 2018, based on Article 31 Paragraph 2 of the Act on the Government of the Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette 150/11, 119/14 and 93/16), the Croatian Government reached a decision according to which the National and University Library in Zagreb will serve as one of the seats of Croatia’s presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2020.

Based on this decision, the part of the Library’s premises to house the seat of presidency will be furnished and equipped to host the presiding offices, through which all the works on the construction and furnishing of the Library’s building, which opened to the public on 28 May 1995, will be completed in their entirety.
