Scanned Alphabetical Card Catalogue
The digitized alphabetical catalogue contains the scanned images of cards from the two alphabetical catalogues that the National and University Library had been compiling until 1990. Data from these catalogues are currently being entered into the NUL Online Catalogue. This digitized alphabetical catalogue has been designed for use in cases when data on publications may not be found in the NUL Online Catalogue.
The Alphabetical Catalogue Digitization Project has so far resulted in 995,354 scanned catalogue cards which have been reproduced as digitized images. These scanned images have been systematized for searching in a way which greatly resembles the organization of former paper catalogues in drawers, with the arrangement of individual cards following that of the previous paper catalogues of the library.
The searching of data on digitized alphabetical catalogue cards will be made possible in the second phase of the Project.
