“Is digital disruption the new normal?…”, a lecture by Dr Gillian Hallam from the Queensland University of Technology on the role of libraries in supporting communities through social change
On 13 September 2017, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) hosted a thought-provoking and inspiring lecture by Dr Gillian Hallam, Adjunct Professor at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. The lecture was organised through the Library’s cooperation with the Croatian Library Association’s Continuing Professional Development Commission and addressed issues associated with digital literacy in terms of its relation to both current and anticipated social developments, as well as the role of libraries in providing support necessary to their communities in this context.
