“Hearts Together Make Music for Children”: 2018 benefit concert at the National and University Library in Zagreb

Objavljeno 22.11.2018.

On 1 December 2018 (19.00, grand lobby), the National and University Library in Zagreb will host Hearts Together Make Music for Children, the second benefit concert that it organises together with the National and University Library in Zagreb Foundation and Children’s Hospital Zagreb.

The concert will be performed by Gospel Duo and all proceeds from it donated to the Children’s Hospital Zagreb for the replenishment of the hospital’s library collection.

Gospel Duo consists of mezzo-soprano Ljiljana Šišeta-Vrbančić and pianist Oliver Vrbančić. After graduating from the Zagreb Academy of Music, musical curiosity led the two artists to the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where they studied jazz and today teach. Particularly fond of African American spiritual music, this creative couple combines it with classical and jazz music and thus creates a rich context enabling versatile musical expression. The duo has been performing for years, and their repertoire has been released by Croatia Records, the leading Croatian recording company.

The concert tickets are available at the Library’s User Registration Service (Monday to Friday, 8.00 – 21.00; Saturday 9.00 – 14.00) for a minimum donation of HRK 50,00 (EUR 6,73), while everyone interested in details concerning the concert may send their inquiries to zaklada@nsk.hr.
