“European Union – What Does It Do for Us?”: NSK exhibition marking Europe Week 2019
Marking Europe Week, which is this year being held from 6 to 10 May, as well as Europe Day, which is celebrated on 9 May, the National and University Library in Zagreb is organising European Union – What Does It Do for Us?, a special exhibition featuring publications providing information on the European Union and the impact it has on its citizens.
The exhibited publications are part of the holdings of the Library’s European Documentation Centre and their content addresses various different areas in which the European Union affects the lives of its citizens. The exhibition also wishes to address the upcoming European Parliament elections, raise public awareness of their importance and motivate Croatian citizens to go to the polls.
Based on a partnership agreement between the National and University Library in Zagreb and European Union, the Library’s European Documentation Centre started operating in July 2018 as part of the Europe Direct network.
The exhibition, which may be seen free of charge, will remain on view throughout the entire Europe Week, until 10 May 2019.
