Eleventh Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects: 2022 Call for Papers
On 12 and 13 May 2022, the National and University Library in Zagreb will be hosting the Eleventh Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects, the 2022 edition of the Library’s annual gathering spotlighting issues surrounding the digitisation of cultural and scientific heritage, digital resources management systems, digital products and services and highlighting the most recent digitisation projects in the heritage sector.
Against the background of e-Culture, currently the largest national digitisation project in Croatia, the programme of this year’s D-fest features cooperation in the digitisation of heritage as its central theme, along with other related issues that digitisation professionals daily deal with, ranging from managing resources and ensuring cost-effectiveness through applying adequate order(s) of priority and criteria in the selection of heritage to various dilemmas, obstacles and open issues concerning copyright which are crucial both in the digitisation of heritage and its subsequent use.
The Festival’s programme will spotlight the following themes:
- cooperation in the digitisation of heritage,
- e-Culture, Croatia’s currently largest national digitisation project focusing on cultural heritage,
- integration and interoperability,
- digital humanities,
- digitisation of heritage (cultural goods, copyright, education, 3D, cost-effectiveness),
- presentations of digitisation projects and digital products.
All interested in participation may submit their oral or poster presentation proposals online not later than 3 April 2022. All applicants will be notified of the details on the outcome of their submission until 11 April 2022.
