“Distributed Library Information Systems and Integrated Services”: NSK symposium organised as part of 4th conference for users of NSK Integrated Library System
The National and University Library in Zagreb is organising Distributed Library Information Systems and Integrated Services, a scientific symposium that it will host on 17 December 2019 with the support of the Croatian Ministry of Culture and as part of the 4th open conference for the users of the Integrated Library System of the National and University Library in Zagreb and the Croatian Academic and Research Libraries.
The symposium programme will include presentations by researchers and professionals from prominent scientific institutions focusing on the use of blockchain technology in heritage institutions, as well as on shared reference services and different aspects of e-book management. It will also address issues related to interoperability, the implementation of standards in the field of information systems, development of library formats for knowledge organisation and new opportunities in this context, linked data, development of metadata standards and ontologies, development and implementation of semantic infrastructure, as well as the reuse of heritage data.
