“Croatian written heritage in school curriculum” NSK exhibition opening in November as part of Croatian Book Month 2022
On 2 November 2022, starting at 12.00 (grand lobby), the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will host the opening of Croatian written heritage in school curriculum, an exhibition featuring works in the Library’s Manuscripts and Old Books Collection included in the Croatian primary and secondary school curriculum as part of the teaching programme for Croatian and History.
Remaining on view until 12 November 2022 and targeting primary and secondary school students in particular, the exhibition’s 17 display boards will present the treasures of Croatia’s written heritage between the Middle Ages and the 19th century, devoting one of its sections to the historical development of the Croatian language.
Authored by a member of the Library’s Manuscripts and Old Books Collection Kristina Judaš, who was assisted in the exhibition’s preparation by her colleagues Iva Perinić and Karolina Tumbas, the exhibition was organised with the support of the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media and is part of this year’s Croatian Book Month programme.
