“Andrija Mutnjaković: KINETIC ARCHITECTURE 1964–1990” exhibition on view until 7 May 2022
On 26 April 2022, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) hosted the opening of Andrija Mutnjaković: KINETIC ARCHITECTURE 1964–1990, an exhibition spotlighting the internationally recognised work of a distinguished architect, Fellow of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Head of the Academy’s Croatian Museum of Architecture Andrija Mutnjaković, who is also the exhibition’s author.
The exhibition was opened by the NSK Director General Dr Ivanka Stričević, after whose address the exhibition was presented by the Academy’s Fellow and current President Velimir Neidhardt, Fellow Mutnjaković and the Academy’s Museum’s Director Dr Borka Bobovec.
In 2021, the Academy published Fellow Mutnjaković’s portfolio presenting various projects in the field of kinetic architecture that he ran as part of his experimental research and presented in his 1995 internationally recognised work Andrija Mutnjaković Kinetička arhitektura / Kinetic Architecture, included in the 2016 edition of The Oxford Dictionary of Architecture. Apart from the content of the portfolio, the exhibition also features the portfolio’s version in book format, entitled KINETIČKE ARHITEKTONSKE KREACIJE / KINETIC ARCHITECTURE CREATIONS.
