Fourth Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects and Europeana Day
The Fourth Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects was held at the National and University Library in Zagreb on 10 and 11 April 2014.
The programme of this year’s Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects addressed a great number of issues in the broad field of digitisation: from theoretical issues related to the digitisation of different types of material to the presentations of various projects of Croatian institutions aimed at the digitisation of Croatia’s cultural and scientific heritage.
The Festival’s second day, 11 April 2014, included Europeana Day, a special programme organised in collaboration with the Europeana Foundation, Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO) and Croatia’s Ministry of Culture. The representatives of the Europeana Foundation presented Europeana’s programmes and projects along with various opportunities for cooperation between Croatian heritage institutions and Europeana. Croatian institutions which are already taking part in Europeana’s projects presented their experiences from these projects and the programme included two workshops: Copyright and licensing and A Europeana 1914-1918 crowdsourcing campaign in Croatia.
