Call for papers for the Sixth Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects
The National and University Library in Zagreb will again organise and host its traditional annual Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects, whose sixth edition will be held on 21 and 22 April 2016.
This year’s Festival of Croatian Digitisation Projects will once more bring together a wide range of specialists in the development and management of digital heritage collections, digitisation, development of digital library systems, and in the field of the use and promotion of digital cultural and scientific heritage. Its programme will focus on the organisation of digital data and resources, in which context festival participants will be presented with various funds and EU funding programmes allocating resources to selected cultural-and-scientific-heritage-oriented digitisation projects. Along with standard presentations and lectures, the Festival’s programme will this year again include a series of poster presentations and several presentations by students.
The themes of this year’s Festival:
Organisation of Digital Resources,
EU Digitisation-oriented Funds and Funding Programmes,
Creative Industries and Digital Cultural Heritage Use,
Digitisation of Specific Types of Resources, and
Presentation proposals may be submitted online by sending a brief abstract (max. 300 words, with indicating the type of presentation one is submitting, i.e. presentation or poster presentation), biography (max. 150 words) and all the necessary details regarding the applicant’s institution and contact information not later than 20 March 2016.
Applicants will be notified of the details on the outcome of their submission not later than 25 March 2016.
