“A harp genius” at the National and University Library in Zagreb
The National and University Library in Zagreb is hosting a harp seminar on 9 and 10 September 2015. Furthermore, a special lecture on how to efficiently approach harp playing will be held on 12 September 2015.
This entire harp programme will be run by a Canadian harp player and composer Josh Layne, frequently referred to as a “harp genius”. He has given solo recitals around the world, from Canada and the USA to South America and Europe. Layne started composing in 2005 and has so far released four albums, which apart from his music include his unique interpretations of works by Bach, Beethoven, Fauré and Renié.
During his visit to Zagreb Josh Layne will also give a concert on 11 September 2015 at the Mimara Musem.
The special harp programme currently taking place at the National and University Library in Zagreb has been organised through the Library’s cooperation with a Zagreb-based arts organisation HATHOR .
