11th Higher Education and Scholarships Fair

The Institute for the Development of Education is organising the 11th Higher Education and Scholarships Fair, which will be held on Tuesday, 13 October 2015 at the National and University Library in Zagreb and on Thursday, 15 October 2015 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka.

The Fair’s principal aim is to inform secondary school and university students as well as the wider public on educational opportunities and scholarships available in Croatia and abroad, as well as to involve professionals from different fields in an open debate on current issues in Croatian education policy.

The partner country at this year’s Fair is Slovenia, whose rich presentation programme will feature leading Slovene universities and a number of programmes offering financial support for students from Croatia, as well as a presentation of successful projects by students at Slovene higher education institutions.

The programme of the 11th Higher Education and Scholarships Fair will include more than 80 exhibitors from as many as 18 countries from Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, ranging from various institutions of higher education, ministries, local administration offices, companies, foundations, non-governmental organisations, embassies, cultural centres, etc.

The Fair’s opening programme will be attended by Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia, Maja Makovec Brenčič, Slovene Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Vedran Mornar, Croatian Minister of Science, Education and Sport, Damir Boras, Rector of the University of Zagreb, Pero Lučin, Rector of the University of Rijeka, and many other prominent guests.

This year’s Fair has been supported by numerous partners: the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, National Foundation for Civil Society Development, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, City of Rijeka (donors and sponsors), Slovene Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes (CMEPIUS), Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia (institutions of the partner country), National and University Library in Zagreb, University of Rijeka (main partners), RIT Croatia, UniWorld, University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor and University of Primorska (silver sponsors).
